Highly anticipated furniture side industry trade show Intermob to open its door for the 26th time in Istanbul
The 26th edition of International Furniture Side Industry, Accessories, Forestry Products and Wood Technology Fair, organized by RX Tüyap in cooperation with the Turkish Furniture Accessory Industrialists Association (MAKSDER), Intermob will be held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul between September 12-15, 2024. Over 500 exhibiting companies from Türkiye and abroad are expected to showcase their latest solutions, services, materials for sustainable furniture manufacture at Intermob. Visitors will be able to find a wide range of products from forestry products, chipboards, furniture doors, covers, panels, profiles to covering materials, edge bands, as well as all sorts of furniture accessories and systems along with furniture chemicals, paints, adhesives, upholstery materials, fabrics and foam cutting machines.
A Global Trade Show where Long-Lasting Business Connections are Built
Intermob Fair moves forward with the mission of becoming an international trade show more than ever, promising long-term business connections and supporting the furniture industry. In this context, this year Intermob laid great importance on furniture manufacturing markets across Europe and was introduced to the furniture manufacturers mainly in Poland, Romania and Italy, which are the most important furniture manufacturing markets in Europe.
Intermob was introduced in Italy
Italy, one of the first countries that comes to mind when it comes to furniture production and design, is a significant buyer for all kinds of products, accessories, equipment and materials used in furniture production. Therefore, promotional activities for the show continue intensively in Italy, which is an important export market for the Turkish furniture sub-industry. Intermob was introduced to the industry's leading furniture manufacturers at SICAM Fair held in Pordenone, Italy, back in October 2023, and at the Interzum Forum Italy held in Bergamo between June 6-7, 2024. During these shows Italian furniture manufacturers were invited to Intermob to purchase furniture accessories and sub-industry products from Türkiye. Additionally, meetings were held with associations and publications operating in the furniture industry in Italy.
Effective Promotional Activities in Romania and Poland
Romania is an important furniture production center in Europe and stands out as a major market that sells furniture products to the world, to Europe in particular. Within the scope of the promotional activities carried out in Romania in May 2024, medium and large-scale furniture manufacturers and furniture accessories and sub-industry distributors were visited and they were invited to Intermob that is going to be held in Istanbul between September 12-15, 2024. During the promotional tour across Romania, the production plants of the manufacturing companies in Romania were visited, including Transylvanian Furniture Cluster (CMT). CMT brings together furniture manufacturers of different qualifications as a cluster that gathers innovative furniture manufacturers in Transylvania, Romania's furniture production region, under one roof.
Being Europe's important furniture production bases, Poland is a valuable export market for domestic furniture sub-industry manufacturers. In this regard, one-on-one meetings were held with furniture manufacturers, associations and publications in Poland during the All4Wood Fair held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, between May 14-16, 2024, and many Polish furniture manufacturers were invited to the show.
